Becoming a better writer.
I feel like I have had the same problems all throughout my years of school. I am not applying my full potential. I try to do as well as I can and give 110% with everything that I do in life, but when I get stuck, I slack off and eventually put it off until I can think of something creative to write. With this last paper that was due I felt like I had so much material having read the book and watching the movie several times. I noticed a lot of similarities and differences. I just think that I have so many ideas and I do not really create a layout and brainstorm what I am about to write about and that would definitely help m e out a lot to do so.

Yes, having a lot of material can make you feel like you don't know where to start. Unfortunately, we do not know what we are going to write until we write it. That's the point: writing helps us develop our ideas.
ReplyDeleteTry dividing a page in 1/2 and write all the similarities in one column, differences in the other. Circle the ones that are most interesting to you. Then see if those things you've circles have continuities; frame an argument from there. Your argument will (inevitable) change while writing so leave time for the rewrite process.
